SINOPSIS:
I love you Philip Morris, estrenada con críticas aceptables en Francia o en el Reino Unido, narra la historia real de Steven Jay Russell (interpretado por Jim Carrey), estafador que llevó una vida formalmente heterosexual hasta que, tras ingresar en prisión, se enamoró de su compañero de celda, Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). Una vez liberado éste, Russell protagonizó varios intentos de fuga con el objeto de reunirse con él. En su momento la película fue objeto de nuestra atención por una declaraciones de Carrey en las que admitía que había tenido que enfrentarse a sus propios prejuicios homófobos para interpretar su papel.

Saw about 70 minutes of this movie… and i am SO glad that the jwplayer that i was streaming it on broke down so i didnt have to painstakingly go through the whole thing. Liked the acting and the actors(cant deny ewan mcgregors beauty!), but the script is awful and the story has a weak plot with no real twists or turns. One thing’s original though and which i commend, the movie centers MUCH less(if at all) around the being gay aspect even if it is an essentially gay movie. I can imagine ppl liking this movie, but neither I nor my best friend have anything to praise it for.
